Definition Types of Miscarriage



 Spontaneous Miscarriage -
Involuntary loss during first 20 weeks.
Threatened miscarriage-
Uterine bleeding, closed cervix, no product of conception passes.
Incomplete miscariage -
Some but not all, product have passed
Complete: POC completely expelled-
- Inevitable: PV bleeding and uterine activity, cervical dilatation and expulsion of POC
- Missed: fetus dies and POC retained within the uterus
- Septic: incomplete abortion with ascending infection.
Blited ovum (anembryonic pregnancy): identification sac and placental tissue but no embryo.
